Emory University keeps thousands of library items at an offsite storage library called the Library Service Center. These materials can be requested for pickup at Pitts by current Emory faculty, staff, and students who have been cleared to return to campus.
If you find an item in the Emory Library catalog that says it is available at "Library Service Center," first log in to your account, then click "Request" or "Item Request" to have the material brought to the Pitts Theology Library for your use.
Items from the Library Service Center are brought to Pitts each day, Monday through Friday. Requests made by 10:00 a.m. will usually be available by 4:00 p.m. the same day. Requests placed after 10:00 a.m. (or on weekends) will be filled the following business day. Weekend delivery is not available. You will be notified by email when a requested item is available for pick-up. You may also phone the circulation desk (404.727.4166) to inquire whether materials are available.
