Mission
The mission of the Pitts Theology Library is to acquire, organize, preserve, interpret, and provide access to information resources that support the present and future teaching, research, and service missions of the Candler School of Theology, as well as those of the Graduate Division of Religion and Emory University, and that complement other research collections for the study of theology. By preserving the literary heritage of the Church in all times and places, Pitts Theology Library recognizes the place of the written word in Judaism and Christianity and supports the study of all scholars, regardless of their faith.
