Description: The pinter's device of Christoph Froschauer (d. 1564) of Zurich, whose name is seen on the banner with an alternate spelling. The inclusion of frogs in this device is a wordplay on his surname (Frosch = Frog), which means 'frog meadow'. The metal engraving is by Hans Lützelburger after Hans Holbein, the Younger.
