Description: This image depicts the entire story of Jonah: call, flight to Joppa, thrown overboard and swallowed by fish, vomited back upon dry land, and sitting under a vine to see what will happen to Nineveh. The monogram of the artist, Hans Brosamer (ca. 1500-ca. 1554), is in the center of the woodcut on the bow of the ship.
