Description: Pharaoh and Egypt’s premiere magicians and wise men listen with great wonder, as Joseph interprets Pharaoh’s dreams of the seven fat and seven lean cows, and the seven good and seven lean stalks. The artist, Gustave Doré, has placed his signature in the lower left corner of the woodcut and the engraver’s signature, Adolphe François Pannemaker (1822-1900), at the lower right corner (the addition of “-Doms” may indicate a co-engraver).
