Description: Abraham kneels before the angels at Mamre, and Sarah stands in the doorway listening, as the angels inform Abraham of God’s plan to bless him with a son through Sarah. As the numeral at the head of the page indicates, this is plate #15 in a series of illustrations. Additionally, the signatures of the artist (G. Freman), and the engraver (Johannes Kip, 1653-1722), appear at the bottom.
