Scripture Reference:

Description: Lying asleep, Daniel envisions the four winds blowing upon the sea, as four beasts climb ashore: one with the head of a lion and the wings of the eagle; a second, in the form of a bear, with three ribs in its mouth; the third, like a four-headed leopard with four wings; and the fourth, a mighty beast with long teeth, ten horns, and hooves like an ox’s. The engraver, Jacobus Harrewijn (1660-1727), has placed his signature in the bottom left.
