Description: Among frolicking children, a crowned woman representing Wisdom streams a ribbon inscribed with scripture (Proverbs 9:4): “Quiconque est simple, vienne a moi” (French for “Whoever is simple, let him come to me”). The artist and engraver, Jacobus Harrewijn (1660-1727), has placed his signature in the bottom center.
