Description: This emblem depicts an angel presenting a woman with a new heart as she kneels before him. The image is titled with the Latin CORDIS RENOVATIO, which translates “the renewing of the heart,” and is accompanied by the text of Ezekiel 36:26. This is the twenty-fourth in a series of 47 emblems published anonymously and adapted from Benedictine writer Benedict van Haeften's Schola Cordis (1629).
