Description: This emblem depicts the zodiac Scorpio crossing the sun around the celestial sphere above a city rising from the rocks in the middle of the sea. The Latin motto NON MERGITUR UNI, which translates "Not One Sinks,” titles the ornamental frame. This emblem is one in a series of 46 published by Cardinal Celestino Sfondrati confirming the Immaculate Conception in nature.
