Description: This emblem depicts the sun coming through the clouds to create a rainbow that extends into a city. The Latin motto SOLIS OPUS, which translates "work of the sun," titles the ornamental frame featuring the head of a lion at the top and of a ram at the bottom. This emblem is one in a series of 46 published by Cardinal Celestino Sfondrati confirming the Immaculate Conception in nature.
