Description: This emblem depicts four nude figures in the sea holding sheaves and protecting a ship from capsizing as it sails toward an island. The small island is surrounded by capsized vessels, and above in the ornamental frame appears the Latin phrase EXPERS NAUFRAGY which translates to "free from ruin." This emblem is one in a series of 46 published by Cardinal Celestino Sfondrati confirming the Immaculate Conception in nature.
