Description: This frontispiece depicts the Virgin Mary standing atop a globe inside a tent with flaps drawn crushing a serpent with her foot. She is flanked by four angels, and at the forefront stand a priest to the left and a monarch to the right. The priest holds flowers, a quill, and book with the words PRO TE, and the monarch holds flowers, a sword, and props up a shield with the same words translating “For You.” Two cherubim flank the title of the book, Inocentia Vindicata (The Innocence Claim) as well as a crowned ornamental piece at the top of the page.
