Image Title: Tabernacle Interior with Holy of Holies

Description: This image depicts the interior chambers of the tabernacle of the ancient Israelites after they left Egypt. The first room houses a large menorah and altar. The room behind the flap in the paper is the Holy of Holies which houses the Ark of the Covenant. Only the High Priest was allowed to enter this inner sanctuary on Yom Kippur. The tabernacle was built with specific instructions that were given to Moses by God.
