In the sky is the tetragrammaton and God with seven lamps to represent the seven spirits of God referenced in the book of Revelation. In the background of the picture there is a depiction of the Israelite’s tabernacle as well as Jesus being crucified on the cross. In the foreground, Israelite priests prepare to make sacrifices to God on the altar. The nearest vignette depicts Moses listening to God. The artists is Gerard Hoet (1648-1733) and the engraver is Joseph Mulder (1658-1742).
