Description: The pictura of this emblem by the Italian jurist and writer Andrea Alciato (1492 – 1550 CE) features Mark Antony mounted on a chariot to which he has had yoked two lions. In the subscriptio, Alciato claims that Antony wished to show that the Roman senators Brutus and Cassius had yielded to him in battle.
