On the left is the coat of arms of the Duchy of Limburg which consists of a lion rampant. The coat of arms on the right side is the Duchy of Lorraine's which consists of three birds within a bend. The coat of arms in this book were designed by Aegidius Gelenius (est. 1595-1656).
