Description: The coat of arms of Cardinal Pier Luigi Carafa (1581-1655). The cardinal's shield consists of a simple stripped pattern while the shield is surrounded by angels. From the bottom left, the angels in surrounding the shield hold a crown and a cross, followed by a gallero, an angel holding the papal tiara along with the keys of Rome, and finally an angel holding a bishop's miter. The coat of arms and engravings in this book were designed by Silvestro Pietrasanta (1590-1647) .
