St. Erasmus of Formia (d. c. 303), also known as Saint Elmo, was a Christian saint and martyr who is venerated as the patron saint of sailors and abdominal pain. John Islip (1464-1532) was Abbot of Westminster Abbey from 1500 until 1532. Founded in 960 CE, Westminster Abbey is a large Gothic-styled church in England that has been the traditional site for English and, later, British coronation.
