Description: The centerpiece is a portrait of Venetian Doge Pasquale Malipiero (c. 1385-1462), who reigned from 1457 to 1462. His coat of arms depicts a stylized leg of a bird. On either side of his portrait are both faces of a privately produced medal. A bust of the Doge appears on the obverse, and the reverse portrays his wife Giovanna with the accompanying legend: “Bis. Veneziar. Dvcise. Inclite. Iohanne. Alme. Vr.”.
