Description: Isaiah's vision of the heavenly throne room above the temple of Jerusalem. An angel touches a hot coal to Isaiah's lips with a pair of tongs. The engraver has indicated God’s presence by placing the Tetragrammaton in an illuminated cloud. As the numeral at the head of the page indicates, this is plate #142 in a series of illustrations.
