Description: Israel defeats the Amorites at Gibeon with the help of God, who rains down stones upon the Amorites and causes the sun and the moon to stand still. The name of the artist, Frederick Hendrick van Hove (1628-1698), has been set at the base, and as the numeral at the head of the page indicates, this is plate #59 in a series of illustrations.
