Image Title: Reformed Hospitallers of Saint John of Jerusalem

Description: This etched print features a member of the reformed Hospitallers of Saint John of Jerusalem. Gaillotte de Vaillac of Antiqaine undertook a reform of this order, in which she had been raised, for too much liberty was perceived to prevail, the nuns receiving visits from secular persons of either sex. However, her health failed, having suffered from long fasts and other austerities. She soon passed, and the reform was left to Mother Mirandol.
