The nuns are pictured eagerly welcoming Jesus as an angel points to his descent. He walks by an arch which features a cross, the Holy Grail and a wheat sheaf, which are symbols of the Eucharist, and the Greek letters A and ?, which represent God being the beginning and the end. Above the angel there is a grand palace in the clouds.
