The banner bears the Latin phrase “Abjectus emergo" (“Cast aside, I arise”). Beneath the image is the phrase, “Ich. Luyken fecit ad mentum Authoris” (“Jan Luyken made [this] at the directions of the author” Engraved by Jan Luiken (1649-1712).
