Description: An angel of the Lord rolls away the stone over Jesus' tomb. Jesus rises from the dead in the presence of soldiers, one of whom sleeps while the other watches in amazement. The engraver, Carl Schuler (1785-1852), has placed his signature at the bottom left. As the numeral at the top right indicates, this is plate #73 in a series of illustrations.
