Description: Hans Missel was betrayed and arrested in the Swabian town of Landesmeer for propounding the teachings of Anabaptism. After refusing to renounce his faith, the authorities have him decapitated in 1571 C.E. Miraculously, his body remains in a posture of prayer after the beheading and only collapses when the executioner pushes it over with his foot .
