Description: Having evaded capture in Utrecht only to be captured in Antwerp, Jacob Dircks and two of his sons, Andries Jacobs and Jan Jacobs, are sentenced to death by the authorities of Antwerp for their Anabaptist faith. As Dircks and his sons make their way to their execution, Dircks’ youngest son, Pieter Jacobs, throws his arms around his father’s neck, but the guards tear him way and toss him underneath the feet of the mob to be trampled to death .
