Description: Judith decapitates Holofernes in order to encourage the people of Bethulia in the midst of a siege. At the top Holofernes is at dinner with his servants when he asks for Judith to be brought to him. In the top-right corner Judith prays to God. In the bottom-right corner Judith presents Holofernes’ head to Achior. In the top-left corner Holofernes’ head hangs from the city walls of Bethulia.
