In the bottom-left corner the man of God from Judah cries out against the altar at Bethel as Jeroboam prepares to offer a sacrifice there. In the top-left corner King Rehoboam seeks advice on how to lead the people of Israel. In the top-right corner King Rehoboam flees in his chariot, as Adoram the taskmaster is stoned by the Israelites, and Jeroboam is made king over Israel. At the top the prophet Ahijah tells Jeroboam’s wife that their child will die because of Jeroboam’s sins. In the bottom-right King Shishak of Egypt plunders the treasures of Jerusalem.
