Description: This image depicts Laban and Jacob making a covenant to ensure goodwill toward each other’s families in the future, after Laban fails to find his stolen household gods among Jacob’s belongings. In the upper right-hand corner Jacob meets his future wife Rachel at a well, while in the upper left-hand corner Jacob manipulates Laban’s flocks. In the lower right-hand corner Jacob leaves Laban and leads his family back toward the land of his father Isaac, while in the lower left-hand corner Jacob is reunited with his brother Esau.
