Description: In the foreground, Samson carries the city gates of Gaza, having evaded the ambush that the men of that city had plotted against him. To the right of this, Delilah cuts Samson’s hair, having discovered that it is the key to his incredible strength. The Philistines stand nearby, waiting for Samson’s strength to leave him. In the background, Samson, who has been captured by the Philistines after Delilah’s betrayal, brings the house down on himself and his Philistine captors.
