Description: An Elector of Saxony (John Frederick I 1503-1554) kneels to the left of the cross and Martin Luther to the right. Likely designed by Lucas Cranach the Younger (1515-1586), this image was often used on the title pages of Luther's translation of the Bible (first in 1546) and of Luther's collected works.
