Image Title: The Blessing and Consecration of a Virgin

Description: This engraving is the second of nine illustrating the blessing and consecration of a virgin. In a series of prayers, the bishop blesses the various pieces of clothing that make up the habit. Here, the virgins stand before the bishop, having taken off their secular clothing and donned part of the habit. They carry the rest of the habit in their arms as the bishop performs the blessing.
