Description: Jesus is seated in Heaven, surrounded by angles with God the Father above him holding a globus cruciger and the Holy Spirit below him, represented by a dove. On Jesus’ right is John the Baptist and on his left is his mother Mary. At the base of the image the Pope, indicated by a triple tiara, sits on the left while others read and discuss the Word of God. Includes the monogram of the woodcutter, Christoffel van Sichem II (1577-1658); his son, Christoffel van Sichem III (1618-1659), may have collaborated with him on these images, and engraver’s knife on the center right.
