One angel holds the spear, whip, and nails used on Jesus, while the other angel holds a reed with a sponge and the crown of thorns. In the background is the cross with a sign that reads “INRI.” Includes the monogram of the woodcutter, Christoffel van Sichem II (1577-1658) near the top left corner; his son, Christoffel van Sichem III (1618-1659), may have collaborated with him on these images.
