Description: Joseph of Arimathea removes Jesus' body from the cross. At the base of the cross is a skull and over Jesus’ head is the inscription “INRI.” Includes the monogram of the woodcutter, Christoffel van Sichem II (1577-1658) at the base; his son, Christoffel van Sichem III (1618-1659), may have collaborated with him on these images.
