In the near background the tenants murder the servants and son of the landowner of the vineyard, while in the far background is the crucifixion of Jesus with two sinners. Includes the monogram of the woodcutter, Christoffel van Sichem II (1577-1658)in the bottom left corner; his son, Christoffel van Sichem III (1618-1659), may have collaborated with him on these images.
