Saint Martinianus (4th century) weaves baskets as a shipwreck tosses a woman ashore. Saint Martinianus was so determined to avoid sin that he would not stay on the island with the woman until she could be rescued, so he swam to the mainland.The names of the artist responsible for the design, Maarten De Vos, and the engraver, Raphael Sadeler I, are at the lower left.
