Description: The Egyptian hermit Saint Ammon of Nitria (fourth century), or Amun, was important for the growth of monasteries in Nitria. The artist responsible for the design was Maarten De Vos, but the engraving for the volume was done by Johannes Sadeler I (Jan Sadeler) and Raphael Sadeler I, whose surname is at the lower left.
