Image Title: The Old Testament

Description: This image depicts figures from the Old Testament in the context of classical architecture. In the immediate foreground are Adam and Eve sitting at the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Directly behind Adam and Eve up the first set of steps stand David and Solomon, both kings of Israel. Directly behind them is a room containing the Ark of the Covenant with the Ten Commandments, with Moses and Aaron standing on either side. Pictures of the prophets, including Hosea, Zechariah, Joel, Daniel, Jonah, Ezekiel, Jeremiah, Micah, Habakkuk, and Isaiah, hang from the columns. At the top of the image is a radiant triangle, symbolic of the Trinity. Other significant figures, such as kings, generals, and the leaders of tribes are also shown.
