Wesley Woods Towers is a part of Wesley Woods Center, the component of Emory Healthcare dedicated to geriatric care. Wesley Woods Towers accepts adults age 62 and older. Both independent and assisted living options are offered. The facility occupies 64 acres on the Emory University campus.
The Wesley Woods Towers Residents Association was founded to promote community life and activities. It is open to all residents of Wesley Woods Towers. The Residents’ Association is governed by an executive committee and produces a monthly newsletter, Towers Talk.
The records document the activities of the Wesley Woods Towers Residents’ Association. The first series, Meetings, contains minutes from executive committee and general meetings, as well as treasurer’s reports. The second series contains publications. These publications include Towers Talk, a monthly newsletter produced by Wesley Woods Towers residents; lists of residents from 1969-1983; and an undated guide for new residents. Also included in this series is “Collection of Recollections II,” a compilation of writings by residents who participated in a workshop on writing personal and family stories.
