 Biographical Note

William Henry Fremantle (1831-1916) was Canon of Canterbury Cathedral and Fellow and Tutor of Balliol College, Oxford. His published works include The World as the Subject of Redemption and Natural Christianity.


Scope and Content Note

This collection is comprised of a four-page letter from Fremantle to Sir George Cox, dated 26 May 1893. In the letter, Fremantle discusses a paper written by Cox on the "historic Christ."
