The author's address is listed in the manuscript as Stanley Mount, Taunton Road, Ashton-under-Lyne, which is located in the greater Manchester area of northwest England.  Nothing else is known about Arthur Grime

The manuscript is a bound volume consisting of one hundred and forty-two typewritten pages, which includes an extensive bibliography.  It is a biography of Thomas Hall (1610-1665), a Church of England cleric who embraced Puritan reforms of the church.  With the accession of Charles II (1660-1685) to the throne and the restoration of the monarchy, numerous reformist clerics, including Hall, were ejected from the church by the Act of Uniformity in 1662.  Hall spent his remaining years in poverty and died on April 13, 1665.  He was buried at Kings Norton, Worcestershire, located near Birmingham in the West Midlands.
