Scope and Content Note

This bound manuscript, attributed to an unidentified Anglican clergyman, contains over 400 pages of notes, sermons, and other writings, and has Greek and Latin quotations throughout.  There are several sermons, primarily eulogies, about various women, including Eliza James, Sarah Ward, and Margaret Tomlinson.  The manuscript also contains writings on the topic of Easter.  Of additional interest is the inclusion of at least one piece concerning the English Civil War and the death of King Charles.
