Biographical Note

Arthur Charles Hervey, 1808-1894, was an Anglican clergyman who served as Lord Bishop of Bath and Wells (England).


Scope and Content Note

A four page letter written from the Palace Wells in Somerset on 1887 December 30.  In the letter the Bishop expresses agreement with Dr. Pusey's position against non-fasting communion in the Church of England. It is unclear to whom the letter was addressed.
