Scope and Content Note
This bound volume consists of two parts. The first part is titled "Tractatus
de habitibus vitiosis [Tract on bad habits]. It is paginated to page 145
and has six unnumbered pages at the end which constitutes the table of
contents. Part two is entitled "De Moderandis Animi Perturbationibus" [On
moderating the perturbations of the soul]. Like part one it is followed
by a table of contents. Part two ends with Laus Deo B.M.V. et B.P.N. Ignatio
[Praise be to God, to the Blessed Virgin Mary, and to our Blessed Father
Ignatius.] The book is a Roman Catholic manual for directors in catechetical
or dialogue form. Since Ignatius was canonized in 1622 the book probably
predated that year. It is written in Latin.
